Dreams approached me for a brand new design of their current brochure. For this I went with abstract shapes which show the main focus of what Dreams is about, beds. From the company loving the look of the new brochure I also took on another job of designing some of their posters for in-store, by the front doors and in the car park.

Que Q-reative brings you night called Live Sessions bringing the best in live uk music. Taking the name Live Sessions I then decided to use a microphone as the main focus point which gave a nice template for other nights. This night was a huge success. Hosted by DJ Mika with acts like FemFel, A.L, Ryan Parrot, Rufio Summers,Kurt Collins, Linah Nambooze and Kae Kurd.

New Nokia Lumia 800 Goes 4D

On Monday 28th November Nokia Lumia 800 with Windows phone http://nokia.ly/uBVXxw brought deadmau5 and the world’s most advanced 4D technology together and created an amazing free light show at Millbank Tower, London.

Millbank was plunged into darkness with the iconic tower acting as the canvas for a never-before-seen spectacular. Each of the 120 metre high building’s 800 windows were covered with vinyl as 16 powerful projectors, stationed 300 metres away on the other side of the river, beamed 3D images onto the structure. Huge butterflies flew across the London skyline and the tower was twisted, pulsated and even fell down. Billed as the “future of live events” the spectacular show was accompanied by music from super producer deadmau5, who created exclusive remixes for the performance — adding the 4th dimension.

With a 16 strong line-up that included Durrty Goodz, Cleo Sol, Marger and Shani Cuppcake, the venue reached capacity in less than 20 minutes and attracted press intrerest on the night from the likes of Link Up TV, Channel AKA, Street Starz Ent, LIVE Magazine to mention a few.

Sounds To Save The World

OXFAM’S MUSIC FESTIVAL WITH A DIFFERENCE – OXJAM 2011
This next event will be all in aid of the very worthy charity ‘Oxfam’ with donations and ticket sales going directly to the cause. Oxjam is Oxfam’s month-long music festival. It runs throughout October with hundreds of events around the UK – all organised by people who know and love their local music scene, and all in aid of Oxfam. Since the first Oxjam in 2006, more than 40,000 musicians have played to over 800,000 people at around 3,000 Oxjam events nationwide. Oxjam has raised more than £1.5 million in total!
As well as eleven of the best of the UK’s up and coming acts, Super DJ Melody Kane (Ministry of Sound / ILUVLIVE) will be on the decks, and BANG FM’s LOVELY Lynnike and Sefa will be hosting the night

Visionary: Steve Jobs Dies

Apple founder Steve Jobs died today after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. Tributes, led by President Barack Obama, began pouring in within minutes of the company confirming the death of the mastermind behind the iPhone, iPad and the iPod at the age of 56 years old.

We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today,’ read a statement by Apple’s board of directors.

His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.

The homepage of Apple’s website this evening switched to a full-page image of Jobs with the text, ‘Steve Jobs 1955-2011.

Clicking on the image revealed the additional text: ‘Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being.

Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor.

Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.’

Jobs leaves a wife, a son and two daughters. His relatives also released a statement, which said he ‘died peacefully today, surrounded by his family.

In his public life, Steve was known as a visionary; in his private life, he cherished his family. We are thankful to the many people who have shared their wishes and prayers during the last year of Steve’s illness.

Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the news of Jobs’s death to Apple employees via e-mail: ‘I have some very sad news to share with all of you. Steve passed away earlier today.

We are planning a celebration of Steve’s extraordinary life for Apple employees that will take place soon.

No words can adequately express our sadness at Steve’s death or our gratitude for the opportunity to work with him. We will honour his memory by dedicating ourselves to continuing the work he loved so much.

Within minutes of his death being confirmed, tributes to Jobs began flooding the web, led by President Barack Obama, who tweeted: ‘Rest in peace, Steve Jobs. From all of us at #Obama2012, thank you for the work you make possible every day – including ours.

Mr Obama later gave a fuller statement, in which he praised Jobs as a ‘visionary’ who was ‘bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it.

The world has lost a visionary,’ he said. ‘And there may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented.

Michelle and I send our thoughts and prayers to Steve’s wife Laurene, his family, and all those who loved him.

He added: ‘Steve was fond of saying that he lived every day like it was his last. Because he did, he transformed our lives, redefined entire industries, and achieved one of the rarest feats in human history: he changed the way each of us sees the world.

From its earliest beginnings as a personal computer also-ran in a scrappy garage in northern California to its all-conquering development of life-changing gadgets the rise of Apple has been intrinsically linked to its quirky CEO.

Xcloose is a events/promotions company for arranging night outs in and around Essex. Many different variations of this design was produced for different occasions, on being the World Cup: Brazil Flag, United Kingdom Flag, and Ghana Flag as seen in the examples. The founder is pictured below next to ‘Fatboy’ from Eastenders wearing one of the ‘Xcloose’ Limited Edition T-Shirts.

If you love photography and have a iPhone/iPad/iTouch be sure to get this app called ‘Instagram’ it’s basically like Twitter but with photos. I find this more appealing than Twitter as you have to be creative with your shots, you can also enter little fun competitions like #BlackandWhiteTuesday and #PhotoOfTheDay among loads more.

You can edit your photos and add filters to reduced or add color, depth or even turn your photos black and white for that unique look, or if you’re like me I use many other photo apps to crop, color, rotate and blur my photo before I upload to Instagram.

I have always wanted to get into photography, so for me this app is perfect!
